National airline Fiji Airways has been announced as the Premium Event Partner for the Fiji Tourism Exchange (FTE) 2026 scheduled for March 27- March 28.
The flagship trade event for Tourism Fiji will bring together Fijian tourism operators, international buyers and industry stakeholders to promote Fiji’s tourism offering and foster meaningful global trade connections in a competitive global tourism marketplace.
In a statement, Tourism Fiji said the partnership highlighted the strong alignment between Tourism Fiji and Fiji Airways in advancing Fiji’s international tourism presence and supporting long-term, sustainable growth across the sector.
“As Fiji’s national carrier, Fiji Airways plays a critical role in connecting the destination to global markets and enabling the continued development of the tourism industry. Its ongoing support of the Fiji Tourism Exchange reinforces the value of close collaboration between national partners and industry in delivering positive economic and social outcomes,” Tourism Fiji stated.
Tourism Fiji chief executive officer Dr Paresh Pant said the partnership was central to the delivery of the event, adding they were pleased to have Fiji Airways as the Premium Event Partner for FTE 2026.
“As our national carrier, Fiji Airways is a key contributor to Fiji’s tourism success, enabling global connectivity and serving as a strong ambassador for the destination,” Dr Pant said.
“This partnership reflects our shared value to positioning Fiji as a world-class, tourism destination while delivering tangible benefits for our tourism partners and local communities.”
Fiji Airways managing director and CEO Paul Scurrah echoed similar sentiments saying they were proud to serve as the Premium Event Partner for FTE 2026.
“As Fiji’s national carrier and with a mission to be world’s happiest airline, we are the first point of contact for travellers arriving in our islands and our world-class service helps set the tone for their entire Fijian experience,” Mr Scurrah said.
“FTE is a vital platform for strengthening our global partnerships, showcasing the very best of what Fiji has to offer, and supporting sustainable growth for the tourism sector. We look forward to working with Tourism Fiji to ensure FTE 2026 delivers exceptional value for our industry and the communities that depend on it.”
According to Tourism Fiji, FTE 2026 will deliver two days of structured business-to-business meetings, networking opportunities and industry engagement sessions.
“The program will showcase the diversity of Fiji’s tourism experiences, spanning luxury, soft-adventure, culture, marine tourism, nature-based tourism and community-led initiatives.
“Building on the success of previous editions, FTE 2026 will welcome an expanded cohort of international buyers in all seven regions that Tourism Fiji operates internationally and introduce enhanced networking and engagement opportunities. The focal point will be on communicating authentic Fijian experiences.”
Tourism Fiji said moving the event to March reflected a strategic shift to align with global travel planning cycles, positioning the exchange ahead of Fiji’s peak visitor season and maximising outcomes for both international partners and local operators.
