EXTRA Bula FC’s team captain, Roy Krishna, is optimistic about the team’s progress and believes that positive results are on the horizon.

Despite not securing a win in the first two rounds of the OFC Pro League, Bula FC is currently in fifth place out of eight teams.

In their opening match, Bula FC drew against a team from Vanuatu and suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Auckland FC in their most recent game.

Captain Roy Krishna remains confident in the team’s direction and sees clear improvements within the squad.

Krishna expressed his belief in the team’s potential, stating that they are on the right track and are learning to play the way their coach envisions.

“Just keep going, you know. We still believe, you know, it’s a long way. But we’re on the right track, you know,” said Krishna.

“We are on the right track, we know how coach wants us to play, still we are learning and I’m proud of the boy’s performance so far.”

He commended the players for their mindset and determination, even when facing a deficit on the scoreboard.

Furthermore, Krishna noted the overall improvement in Fijian football compared to previous years and finds the development of the local game to be encouraging.

Meanwhile, up next for Bula FC is a match against Solomon Kings FC on Sunday at the Santos National Football Stadium in Papua New Guinea at 7.30pm.
