Jonathan Hill, the son-in-law of MP Lenora Qereqeretabua, is among the five people charged in relation to the Vatia drug bust.
Hill was produced at the Ba Magistrates Court today alongside four others as investigations into the seizure continue.
Before entering the courtroom, Hill shared a brief message directed at his loved ones.
He held a note to the media.
“I’m sorry Mama and Jhaday. I ❤️ U”
The five accused have been charged following consultations with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
