Fiji Airways has cancelled two scheduled services between Nadi and Dallas Fort Worth due to a major winter weather event affecting the United States.

In a statement, the airline said the disruption follows forecasts of heavy snow, ice and extremely cold conditions impacting the Dallas Fort Worth area.

The cancelled flights are FJ890 – Nadi to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, that was scheduled to depart last night.

Also, the return flight FJ891 – Dallas Fort Worth to Nadi, scheduled for 24 January local US time is also cancelled.

Fiji Airways said its teams are in direct contact with all affected guests to confirm updated travel arrangements and to provide assistance where required.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this disruption may cause,” the airline said.

“The safety of our passengers and crew remains our highest priority, and we thank our guests for their understanding.”

Passengers travelling on upcoming services to or from the United States are advised to monitor their flight status and remain in contact with Fiji Airways.
