The FMF Navosa Netball Competition got underway successfully yesterday, drawing strong participation and competitive action from teams across Nadroga and Navosa.
Navosa Netball President Judy Kumar said the opening day went well, with teams showing great commitment and skill on court.
“We started the day successfully and it was a good day overall,” Kumar said.
A total of 20 netball teams from the Nadroga/Navosa region are competing in the two-day tournament, which will conclude at Vatureba grounds today.
Kumar described the competition as highly competitive, with several teams standing out in the early rounds.
Some of the top-performing teams include Qwalivula, Belovula, Qwalimavua, Nanumi Au and Henibua, who all impressed with their performances on the opening day.
The FMF Navosa Netball Competition continues today, with teams battling for top honours as the tournament heads into its final stages.
