Former Ba captain Shalen Lal has been appointed the new head coach of Ba Football Association, leading the Men in Black into the 2026 season following the announcement of a revamped technical leadership team
Ba FA president Praneel Dayal confirmed the appointments in a statement describing them as a strategic move to strengthen the club’s football operations both on and off the field.
Meanwhile, Rodeck Singh has stepped down as Director of Football due to medical reasons. The Ba FA thanked Singh for his service and wished him a full and speedy recovery.
Taking over the role is Ravinesh Kumar, who has been appointed the new Director of Football. Kumar brings extensive experience and will oversee football operations from the grassroots level through to the senior team.
The 2026 technical setup also sees Yogendra Dutt appointed as Technical Advisor, while Malakai Kainihewe joins the coaching staff as Assistant Coach.
Former Ba goalkeeper Iosefo Vosaboto has been named Goalkeeper Coach, and Sanil Prakash will serve as Team Manager.
Dayal said the new appointments reflect the association’s commitment to restoring Ba’s proud football legacy.
He also called on Ba supporters to rally behind the Men in Black as they begin preparations for the new season.
Ba FC will begin its 2026 season preparations in the coming weeks under the guidance of Lal and his newly appointed technical team.
