Two men charged with aggravated robbery had their case transferred back to Magistrate Court on Friday.
Lagani Rabukawaqa and Saimoni Macedru were produced in Suva High Court, before Justice Daniel Goundar, where Justice Goundar ordered their plea and bail to be called and heard before Magistrate Hettiwattage Somaratne.
Mr Rabukawaqa and Mr Macedru face a joint charge of aggravated robbery.
It is alleged that in December 2025, they robbed a 50-year-old man of his watch and nine dollars in cash at Top Shop in Raiwai, Suva.
Tobia Ravuiwa, from the Legal Aid Commission, appeared for Mr Rabukawaqa and advised the court that bail had been determined for Mr Rabukawaqa.
Mr Ravuiwa submitted his client had an alibi and that his sister was prepared to confirm Mr Rabukawaqa was at home at the time of the alleged incident.
Justice Goundar ordered the accused be further remanded and that their bail be heard before Magistrate Somaratne.
The case is adjourned until January 26 for mention.
