The 43-year-old man accused of killing a 16-year-old Salote Sikiti in Naqali Village in December, 2025, has been determined unfit for plea.
Last week, Samuela Salusalu appeared before Justice Daniel Goundar who ordered the accused be further remanded.
The matter was adjourned to February 20, 2026, for mention, to confirm the prosecution’s position.
Mr Salusalu allegedly attacked the young girl with a cane knife, inflicting severe injuries that later led to her death. It is alleged the incident occurred while the victim was returning home from a shop in the village.
