Four South American nationals and two local suspects have been arrested following an early morning drug raid in Vatia waters.
The foreigners are believed to be from Ecuador.
Fiji Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu said more than 100 bags containing parcels believed to be cocaine were seized during the operation.
The raid was carried out by officers from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), the Serious Organised Crime and Intelligence Department (SOCID), and the Western Division Taskforce.
Commissioner Tudravu said the operation was the result of close collaboration between local and foreign law enforcement agencies.
Investigations into the seizure and arrests are continuing.
