Sources have confirmed to The Fiji Times that police are investigating a major drug bust in Vatia, Tavua.
The alleged drugs were reportedly packed in more than 100 sacks.
Sources said four foreign nationals believed to be from Ecuador, along with two local suspects, have been arrested in connection with the seizure.
Preliminary information suggests the confiscated substances are either methamphetamine or cocaine.
The alleged consignment is believed to have arrived at the Vatia wharf.
The suspects were allegedly arrested while transporting the sacks of drugs in a vehicle in the early hours of this morning.
The Fiji Times has sought comment from the Fiji Police Force.
