A heavy rain warning remains in force for Ra, Naitasiri, Tailevu North, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, as well as the Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
Weather officials say an active trough of low pressure, with associated cloud and rain, is slow-moving over the northern and eastern parts of the Fiji group.
The system is expected to continue affecting these areas until Sunday.
Forecasts indicate occasional to periods of rain, heavy at times, with a few thunderstorms over the warned areas, including Ra–Naitasiri–Tailevu North, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, and the Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
A flash flood warning remains in force for areas from Tavua, Rakiraki and Tailevu through the interior of Naitasiri to Nausori and Suva in south-eastern Viti Levu.
In addition, a flash flood warning is in effect for the entire island of Vanua Levu.
Meanwhile, a flash flood alert remains in force for areas from Ba to Serua, including Sigatoka, Navua and their interior regions.
Members of the public are advised to remain vigilant, avoid flooded areas where possible, and take necessary precautions as heavy rain and flooding risks persist.
