THE Chennai Bulls quartet of its captain Prashant Singh (Shiv), Sumit Kumar Roy, Ganesh Majhi and Deepak Punja might be the only four players from the club in India, however being with their Fijian teammates has been a memorable experience.
The four are part of the Chennai Bulls for the McDonalds Coral Coast Fiji 7s and Singh thanked all those who played a part in getting them over for the tournament.
He shared how their trip to Fiji was also motivated by their desire to learn from Fijian players and rugby greats.
“With our experience, it just started and it’s going very well. We just came here to learn a lot with the legends of rugby who played with us already in the RFL (Rugby Premier League),” Singh, also known as Shiv mentioned.
“And now, me and my teammates are so happy to share the ground with them again in Fiji on this trip.”
Being in Fiji has been a highlight for them, as they were captivated by the weather, the scenery and the warm hospitality of the Fijian people.
“It’s just a good experience; we are just seeing again and again the weather and the scenery is just so beautiful,” he added.
“We would like to stay for a few more days here, but we don’t have time. We are just going to stay four more days but we would like to try and visit more places and enjoy this country.”
Meanwhile, the Bulls also had Fijian players in their ranks in the last season of the RFL, such as Joseva Talacolo and Filipe Sauturaga.
