FIJI football icon Roy Krishna is bridging the gap between global professionalism and grassroots talent.

Leveraging his extensive career in the A-League and Indian Super League, the veteran striker has become a vital mentor for the next generation of Fijian footballers.

Krishna says the transition to the professional stage requires more than just raw skill.

“In the professional environment, there is no babysitting,” Krishna said.

He stresses that at the highest level, it is “you versus everyone else”, where performance is the only currency.

Krishna said the OFC Pro League demands a radical shift in mindset including a solitary pursuit of discipline, strict dieting, and sacrifice.
