LAST year, Fiji Ports Terminal Limited (FPTL) achieved a throughput of 208, 397 Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit (TEU) for the Ports of Suva and Lautoka.

This was a milestone achievement for the terminal.

The Fiji Ports Terminal in a statement said it was Fiji’s economic growth that contributed significantly to the increase in container volumes handled at the terminal.

“This achievement was made possible through the strong support of stakeholders and the tireless dedication of the FPTL staff across all terminals,” FPTL said.

To commemorate the milestone, the terminal hosted a talanoa session with management and staff, creating an open and inclusive space for dialogue, reflection and shared vision.

The terminal said the talanoa reinforced their values of teamwork, transparency and mutual respect while also acknowledging the collective effort behind the success.

It also set a positive direction for the terminal’s future.

“The management of FPTL extends its heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff and all stakeholders whose contributions made this milestone possible, a true collective achievement.”
