Good news for our young boys who can show case their ‘qiri kava’ or drum beating talents at a competition organised for this weekend.

Headed by Aruka Fiji, a non- governmental organisation, the competition is aimed at bringing youths together to share ideas and ways of working together to ease the impacts of social ills in communities.

The organisation’s director, Inoke Drauna, said apart from the winning prizes of $1000, $500 and $300, the group hopes to unite youths who can talk about issues affecting them.

“This is very important and we want our young people to know that they also matter in Fiji,” he said.

Interested groups can call 1528 to register for the competition which will be held this Saturday and a suitable venue will be confirmed this week.
