Police have confirmed that the man whose body was discovered in Vitogo, Lautoka, on Saturday has been identified by a relative.
The victim, a 40-year-old resident of Vanuakula Settlement in Drasa, Lautoka, was formally identified over the weekend.
Authorities say the case is being treated as a suspected hit-and-run.
A suspect is currently being questioned at the Lautoka Police Station in relation to the incident.
A post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
Police say investigations remain ongoing.
