THE Nadroga Navosa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NNCCI) is looking to strengthen local partnerships this year especially in the agricultural and tourism industries.
NNCCI president Suresh Naidu said while 2025 had been a successful year for the Chamber, they hoped to achieve more over the next 12 months.
“The past year has shown us the incredible resilience of our local economy,” he said.
“From the bustling corridors of Sigatoka Town to the world-class resorts along our Coral Coast, it is your hard work and entrepreneurial spirit that continue to make Nadroga Navosa the “breadbasket” and the tourism heart of Fiji.
“This year, the Chamber remains committed to being your voice and your partner in growth.
“Our focus for the coming months includes strengthening local partnerships fostering deeper connections between our agricultural sectors and the tourism industry.”
Mr Naidu said business advocacy was also an objective in 2026.
“We want to work closely with local and national authorities to improve infrastructure and ease of doing business and focus on sustainable growth by supporting initiatives that protect our natural resources while driving economic innovation.
“While every new year brings its own set of challenges, I am confident that by working together as a united business community, we will turn those challenges into opportunities.
“Let us continue to support ‘local’ and strive for excellence in everything we do.”
Meanwhile, the Sigatoka Town Council is also gearing up for another year focused on developing and growing the town’s economic potential.
Council chief executive officer Ana Pillay said they will continue to build a stronger, cleaner and more inclusive Sigatoka for present and future generations.
