The Fiji Meteorological Service has cancelled the heavy rain alert previously in force for the country.
Weather forecasts for the Fiji group indicate occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms over areas including the Coral Coast to Navua, Greater Suva/Nausori-Tailevu, Interior Ra, Naitasiri, Serua-Namosi, Northern Ra, Southern Bua and Cakudrove provinces, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, and nearby smaller islands.
Residents are advised that isolated heavy falls may still occur and could lead to flash flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
Elsewhere, the weather is expected to remain generally fine, with afternoon or evening showers and possible thunderstorms.
The Meteorological Service urges the public to stay alert and follow updates on local weather conditions.
