FORTY-four members of the All Nations Christian Fellowship (ANCF) Macuata branch joined fellow branches from throughout Fiji this week at a camp at Lautoka Primary School to herald in the new year.

The group, representing both the English and Fijian service congregations, travelled from Vanua Levu for a week of spiritual programs.

Church member Paulina Taucega said the group departed Labasa at 3pm on Christmas Eve and arrived in Lautoka on Christmas Day at around 12.30pm.

She confirmed they are scheduled to return to Labasa at 6am today via an Interlink vessel.

The week-long gathering included a youth conference from December 25 to 27, followed by Sunday school groups on December 28 and 29.

The women’s ministry and men’s sessions were held on December 30, with general meetings and a combined New Year’s Eve service concluding the program today.

“I convey my well wishes for the new year, I know it’s going to be a good year because we started this year with the theme ‘confidence in God’s presence’,” Ms Taucega said.

“I know the Lord will lead this journey into the new year because we are committing everything in his presence and we are frequently spending time in his presence.”

Ms Taucega emphasised the importance of daily prayer for the church’s Sunday school, youth, women’s, and men’s ministries.

“It is vital you pray daily and the Lord will reveal everything to you and ensure your journey is blessed.

“We hear the Lord’s word, and I hope we achieve what we had come here to do, when we travel back to our homes.”
