Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha president Dhirendra Nand has urged Sanatan followers across the country to begin 2026 with unity.
He said harmony and cooperation are essential for strengthening faith institutions and contributing positively to society.
Mr Nand said Sanatan Dharm taught that humanity is one family, and unity should be built on mutual respect and understanding rather than uniformity.
“Placing Dharm above division would allow communities to work together more effectively and strengthen their service to Fiji.” Mr Nand said.
He also encouraged students and young families to start the New Year with discipline and determination, describing education as a key tool for empowerment and character as the foundation of long-term success.
“Young people should remain grounded in Sanatan values while engaging with modern education and opportunities.”
“Young families play a critical role in preserving culture and shaping future generations by instilling values such as respect, honesty and service at home.”
In his New Year’s message, Mr Nand extended blessings for peace, wisdom, and strength in the year ahead, while acknowledging the contributions of the Fiji Sanatan Sabha’s National Executive Council, Board of Trustees, branch leaders, volunteers, and supporters.
He also highlighted the Sabha’s focus in strengthening unity among branches nationwide, increasing youth and women’s participation, and reinforcing education, cultural preservation, and religious awareness programs.
