The Ministry of Education says it is in the final stages of processing payments for personnel engaged in the 2025 national examinations, including coders, supervisors and markers for Years 8, 12 and 13.

In a statement, the Permanent Secretary acknowledged the “professionalism and unwavering commitment” of the thousands of officers who supported this year’s exams, saying the Ministry is prioritising the release of all outstanding allowances.

According to the Ministry, significant progress has already been made, with the majority of examination workers fully compensated.

Delays in remaining payments are largely due to documentation issues, and the Ministry says it is working with heads of schools and divisional education officers to resolve them.

To speed up future transactions, the Ministry is encouraging personnel facing bank-related documentation challenges to consider using M-PAiSA, which it says often allows for faster processing.

“The Ministry of Education remains fully committed to ensuring that all appointed examination personnel are compensated for their service,” the statement said.
