A GROUP of Savulotu villagers in Ra paid $400 for a carrier to transport them and their farm produce to the Lautoka Municipal Market.

Ane Taufa Rabulewa said they were happy to be back to sell at the city’s main market.

“We have been at the Lautoka market since Monday,” she said.

“Customers have been coming to buy our vegetables, dalo, cucumber, rourou, chillies and eggplants.”

Ms Rabulewa said they were satisfied at having been able to sell their produce before returning home last night.

“We will be going back to Savulotu to spend Christmas with our families,” she said.

“I wish everyone a blessed Christmas and a prosperous New Year.”
