REWA paramount chief Ro Teimumu Kepa believes knowing God’s purpose in your life remains the most important thing in life.

As she celebrated her 80th birthday with family and friends, the Marama Roko Tui Dreketi thanked her late parents and God for giving her a life filled with good health.

“It’s just God alone who has blessed me with a good life,” she said. She quoted three Bible scriptures that spoke about leadership and serving the people as a chosen leader of God, such as King Solomon. “We need to lead our people with the wisdom that God also gave King Solomon. I am happy to be here this evening, and I thank those who have organised this event. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and be blessed.”

Her good friend Adi Finau Tabakaucoro described Ro Teimumu as a humble woman. “She is someone we can easily relate to.” she said. “We are long-time friends, and Ro Teimumu is also a good
listener, after all, she’s a teacher so she knows. We’ve been through a lot together, and I thank God for blessing her with many years to enjoy life.”
