Prof Biman Prasad’s stay application hearing date to be set next month

Former Minister of Finance, Professor Biman Prasad’s hearing date will be fixed next month.

Prof Prasad had his case called this morning before Justice Siainiu Fa’alogo Bull at the High Court in Suva.

He faces one count of failure to comply with statutory disclosure requirements which allegedly occurred in 2015.

He is also charged with providing false information in a statutory declaration, by allegedly submitting a declaration that omitted his directorship.

Justice Bull is presiding over Prof Prasad’s permanent stay application.

He is represented by Senior Lawyer Richard Naidu of Munro Leys.

The case has been adjourned to January 15.
