Rian Kaniabota is originally from Papua New Guinea, and has lived in Fiji with her husband, who is an iTaukei. They have five children.
For two years now, Rian says she has taken full responsibility managing their household. She ensures her family’s wellbeing is intact, while her husband is away for work.
Her family lives near Valelevu, which enables them to also shop at nearby supermarkets which is convenient.
Rian said she prioritises healthy living by providing mainly organic foods for her family and believes in teaching her children the value of saving money from a young age.
“Instilling these habits early will help them grow into responsible, knowledgeable individuals who can manage their own wellbeing in the future,” she said.
