That’s Ms Labasa and Miss Fiji Pageant contestant Dr Peggy Ravusiro who graduated with a MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from the Fiji National University yesterday.
“Six years of my blood and tears, and of my family’s support, this is the cream of the cake for me,” said Dr Ravusiro.
Dr Ravusiro is originally from Papua New Guinea and has maternal links to Kadavu.
She completed her final year of medical school rotations at the Labasa Divisional Hospital, forming a strong connection to the northern region of Fiji.
“I don’t know if you call it God’s timing, where all of this is happening at once.
“But each day, I remind myself that whatever tomorrow looks like, God loves me.”
