TAMBUA Sands Beach Resort, operating under Warwick Hotels and Resorts along the Coral Coast in Sigatoka continued its contribution to community partnership and development by providing practical tourism training opportunities to young women from nearby villages.

“Through this initiative, the resort aims to nurture future leaders and equip them with the skills needed to excel in Fiji’s vital tourism industry,” it said in a statement.

“The resort currently welcomes two promising trainees: Vivita Nakwai from Namada Village has completed her first year at the Fiji National University (FNU) in Nadi, where she is pursuing a Diploma in Front Office Operations.

“Milika Bolakoro of Vatuakarasa Village is also undergoing on-the-job training at Tambua Sands.

“She is set to begin her tertiary studies in 2026, majoring in Human Resource Management, and is eager to build a strong foundation in the tourism and hospitality field.”

Resort Manager Angela Bob, said providing support to youth not only strengthened the tourism industry but also empowered communities for generations to come.

“We love giving back to the community by ensuring our future leaders are geared up with all the necessary training when it comes to tourism, which is Fiji’s backbone,” she added.
