Fiji’s Immigration Department has reopened its online passport application portal after months of closure.

Applications for new or renewal of passports can now be made at https://www.immigration.gov.fj/online-application/.

Beginning 1 December 2025, the Ministry has expanded the number of daily appointment slots on its Online Passport Application Portal across all Immigration Offices.

The move is expected to ease access for applicants and reduce waiting times, following months of high demand, said the Ministry.

The Ministry confirmed that its no walk-in policy will remain in place, although walk-ins may still be considered in genuine emergencies or exceptional circumstances.

To help manage peak demand, the Suva Immigration Office will operate from 8.30am to 5.00pm from 1–12 December 2025, while other offices will continue with normal hours.

All urgent applications must still be submitted via the online portal to ensure prioritised processing.

The Ministry said the measures underline its commitment to reducing delays and delivering a more reliable, customer-focused passport service for all Fijians.
