The Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation has announced that the Third Fiji Tourism Convention (FTC) will be held on 22 and 23 January 2026 at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa in Nadi.

The flagship national forum will once again bring together tourism leaders from government, industry, communities and development partners to shape the future of Fiji’s visitor economy.

This year’s theme, “Tourism Beyond Boundaries,” underscores the sector’s push toward greater resilience, inclusivity and sustainable development.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Viliame Gavoka, said the theme reflects a renewed vision for Fiji’s tourism landscape.

“Tourism beyond boundaries is about pushing past conventional limits—bringing communities to the centre, enhancing partnerships, and exploring new ways of delivering value for every Fijian and every visitor. Tourism is woven into our land, oceans, cultures, livelihoods, and the aspirations of our people,” Hon. Gavoka said.

Building on the momentum of previous conventions, this year’s gathering will broaden discussions to encourage cross-sector collaboration, community engagement and long-term resilience.

Tourism Fiji CEO, Dr Paresh Pant, said the Convention remains a crucial platform for aligning national priorities and strengthening Fiji’s position in an increasingly competitive global market.

“This Convention helps us understand emerging needs, hear directly from our industry and communities, and refine how we promote and market Fiji. When our foundations at home are stronger, our marketing can go further,” he said.

The two-day event will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions and networking opportunities, with participants set to build on resolutions from the last Convention as Fiji charts the next phase of its tourism growth.
