THE South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPX) successfully hosted the 2025 SPX Annual Awards last week and helped bring together leaders from Fiji’s business community, government the capital markets and the private sector.

The event marked the revival of the Awards after five years and celebrated outstanding achievements in corporate reporting and market development.

SPX chairperson Nitin Gandhi said the Awards were more than a recognition ceremony.

“They are a catalyst for lifting corporate reporting standards across Fiji.

“We commend the organisations that continue to demonstrate leadership in telling their story with clarity, transparency and purpose,” Mr Gandhi said.

This year’s Awards recognised organisations that demonstrated excellence in both financial and non-financial reporting.

“The close contests across multiple awards highlighted the growing maturity and commitment of organisations to high quality corporate reporting,” SPX said in a statement.

“The SPX Annual Awards will continue as a flagship initiative to recognise excellence, inspire innovation and promote high quality reporting across Fiji’s corporate landscape.”

Officiating at the event, the Minister for Finance Esrom Immanuel commended SPX for reintroducing the Awards and emphasised the important role that the capital markets and corporate reporting play in strengthening investor confidence and supporting Fiji’s economic ambitions.
