AS the busy festive period approaches, Port Denarau Marina in Nadi is well-prepared for its high-traffic season.

The marina’s recent upgrade enhances operational resilience, safety and vessel navigation during the busy season.

On its berth capacity and expansion update, the marina highlighted that it has 62 private berths that are fully serviced, 63 commercial berths and 27 superyacht berths.

The marina has a new 115m mega-yacht berth, the first of its kind in the South Pacific and it also has 16 swing moorings available and 5m draft at zero tide.

According to the marina, a major $5 million expansion was completed in September this year which included a 208m jetty extension and extensive dredging that ensured safe access for larger vessels.

On being a world-class hub for visiting vessels, the marina is home to commercial ferries (Malolocat, Yasawa Flyer III), private sailing charters, and regional cruising yachts.

Port Denarau remains Fiji’s premier gateway to the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands.
