TOLU Young is on a roll at the US Open Championship, setting yet another Fiji Swimming record and a personal best in the men’s 100-meter freestyle.
The 20-year-old finished the race with a time of 49.97s to book his spot in the B finals last night.
He entered the race with a time of 49.98s.
Earlier in the competition, the 2025 Pacific Mini Games gold medalist became the first Fijian to qualify in a final of the US Open Championship.
This as he made the finals of the men’s 50-meter freestyle after setting a new personal best and national record of 21.92s.
The Savusavu swimmer also set a new personal best and Fiji record in the 100m butterfly with a time of 55.27.
