Five top golfers from Ba Damon Chen, Joeli Dakunimara, Dinesh Narayan, Asish Chand and Rohit Chandra will represent the district at the Western Amateur Championships at Denarau Golf Club today.
Because of their participation, there will be no competition at the Ba Golf Club as confirmed by the club executives.
Ba Golf captain Asish Chand said the team is ready for the challenge and excited to compete in the two-day world ranking event.
“Golfers are all looking forward to an exciting event,” Chand said.
He added that representing Ba at such a high-level tournament is a proud moment for the club.
“It’s a great opportunity for our boys to test themselves against the best in the West,” he added.
The club has wished its players all the best as they head into one of the key tournaments on the 2025 amateur golf calendar.
