THE 2025 Island Acro GymFest, hosted by Island Acro Head Coach Michelle Lassen at the VOU HUB in Nadi was a success.
It brought together gymnastics clubs from around the country for a day of learning, performance, and celebration. The annual event continues to grow each year, and the Gymnastics Federation of Fiji says much of that success is driven by Coach Michelle’s dedication to promoting Gymnastics for All and creating a platform where young athletes can learn, connect, and build confidence.
Federation Director Maria Alvarado said the Island Acro GymFest has become a key event in developing youth athletes and strengthening the sport’s community in Fiji.
“This event continues to grow thanks to Coach Michelle’s significant contributions to gymnastics in Fiji. “Her efforts in uniting clubs nationwide and organizing this GymFest each year have been pivotal in developing young athletes and strengthening the gymnastics community,” she said.
This year’s edition highlighted youth empowerment through TeamGym and Performance challenges, while also showcasing Aerobic Gymnastics routines.
Children will also participate in workshops in FreeG, Trampoline, and Tumbling activities that have proven popular among young gymnasts.
The GymFest aims to foster strong collaboration between clubs such as Flight Club, AeroGym Suva, and Kidsfirst Fiji.
The Gymnastics Federation of Fiji hopes the Island Acro GymFest will continue to grow in the years ahead, strengthening unity and participation in gymnastics across the country.
