Fiji’s tourism sector has posted another strong performance, with new figures from the Fiji Bureau of Statistics showing that earnings from tourism reached $918.4 million in the September quarter of 2025.
The Bureau said the earnings reflect the total spending of international visitors, calculated using the average daily spend and the total number of visitor days.
Australia remained Fiji’s largest tourism market, contributing $246.2 million, or 47 percent of total tourism earnings.
New Zealand followed with $98.0 million (26.8 percent), while visitors from the United States spent $33.5 million (10.7 percent).
Earnings from Pacific Island visitors totalled $4.1 million (3.6 percent).
The September 2025 quarter also recorded strong quarter-to-quarter growth, with earnings rising 23.4 percent, or $174.2 million, compared to the June 2025 quarter.
Tourism remains one of Fiji’s most critical economic sectors, and the latest figures indicate a strong lead-in to the final quarter of the year, typically one of the busiest for the industry.
