Thirteen-year-old Alison Anwin Daveta of Toga District School in Rewa walked away with the school’s top academic award last Wednesday.
The young dux, who hails from Lau said this achievement came as a surprise.
“I didn’t expect the award,” she said. “But I am dedicating it to my parents. I’m very grateful for their support, especially during my late-night study sessions.”
She also acknowledged the guidance of her class teacher, saying his encouragement played a big role in her success.
Alison hopes her achievement will inspire other students to work hard and believe in their goals.
