The Registrar of Political Parties has released details of a newly proposed political organisation, the NextGen Alliance Party, after its founders formally submitted their application for registration.
According to documents lodged with the Registrar, the party positions itself as a movement focused on strengthening democracy, promoting unity and restoring public trust in political leadership.
The party’s constitution outlines a broad national vision.
“The NextGen Alliance Party exists to serve the people and to strengthen democracy in Fiji,” the document states. It says the organisation believes good governance must be grounded in “representation, integrity and vision,” and commits to ensuring that “every citizen has a voice” in shaping national policy.
The proposed party also highlights its intention to nurture capable leaders, safeguard indigenous rights and protect national resources.
It says it aims to ensure “fairness in the use of national wealth” while upholding transparency, peace and accountability in all areas of government.
The constitution adds that if public dissatisfaction persists despite current government efforts, the NextGen Alliance is prepared to spearhead an inclusive national dialogue on constitutional amendments.
Such a process, it says, must “truly reflect the aspirations of all Fijians and secure lasting harmony for future generations.”
“Together, with courage, respect and a clear vision, NextGen Alliance will restore trust in leadership and build a stronger, fairer and more united Fiji,” the vision statement reads.
The party’s mission statement reinforces its pledges, emphasising service grounded in integrity and inclusion.
“Our mission is to serve the people of Fiji with integrity, wisdom and courage,” it states.
“We will listen to the voices of all communities, protect the rights and resources of the iTaukei, and uphold justice and equality for every citizen.”
Objections to the application will be open for seven days from today.
