Ratu Kadavulevu School’s steady rise in national examination results took centre stage at its 2025 annual awards on Saturday with Education Minister Aseri Radrodro applauding the school’s remarkable academic gains.

RKS lifted its Fiji Year 12 Certificate Examination pass rate from 52 per cent in 2021 to 91 per cent in 2024, while its FY13CE results increased from 63 per cent in 2021 to 99 per cent in 2023 and 93 per cent in 2024.

Mr Radrodro said the school had long been a leader in shaping the nation.

“This school has produced leaders in every sector – education, medicine, business, sports, the civil service and beyond,” he said.

He said RKS’ academic achievements were supported by its introduction of innovative pilot programs this year, including Year 9 Vocational Technology (Carpentry and Joinery) and Digital Literacy programs for Years 9, 10, and 11.

“RKS also excelled in rugby, athletics, cricket and basketball, and won U17 and U18 Deans Rugby boys titles.”

RKS Annual Awards Day 2025 was held at the school in Tailevu.
