RESOLUTIONS and issues discussed at this week’s Great Council of Chiefs’ meeting will be compiled today for presentation to the Government.
GCC chairman Ratu Viliame Seruvakula said the GCC’s subcommittee would compile the results of their meeting.
“They will go through the outcomes of the meeting before we disperse, and hopefully in that time we will sit down and work out or map out the way forward for the next steps,” he said.
“The role of the GCC is to identify strategic direction before we face challenges.
“Because as I mentioned earlier, this is not an immediate or shortterm plan, this is a long-term and there’s got to be a lot of work to be done before we get to where we want to be.
“The GCC comes up with the idea, this will be proposed to the Government, and it has to because the GCC and the Government have to work together.”
