THE Tailevu Primary School Athletics team received a much-needed boost ahead of the Fiji Primary Schools Tuckets Fiji Ice Cream Games which starts today at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Team Tailevu received a cheque of $2000 from the Tailevu Holdings Pte Limited on Tuesday.

In a press release, Tailevu Holdings stated the support to the Tailevu Primary School Athletics team is an opportunity to contribute not only to sports but to the generation of children who are proudly representing their province.

This support is timely given that there has been an increase in the number of participating Tailevu schools to 14 compared to seven in last year.

It also means that the number of athletes has grown from 90 in 2024 to 120 this year.

Better yet, all qualified athletes will be participating in all events.

The Games end on Friday.
