Convicted murderer Sairusi Ceinaturaga arrived at the High Court in Suva this afternoon for his sentencing hearing, his hands cuffed behind his back as he was escorted into the courtroom.
Ceinaturaga was found guilty on Monday of murdering his one-year-three-month-old stepson at Vunidawa Settlement in Cunningham on October 17 last year.
Earlier this week, shortly after his conviction, he made headlines when he chased an FBC journalist outside the courthouse.
The journalist from FBC received injuries after falling down.
Prosecutor Unal Lal from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions is appearing for the State.
The sentencing hearing is scheduled to begin at 2.30pm before Justice Siainiu Fa’alogo Bull.
