Skills contest unleashes technical creativity

ASCO Motors hosted the highly anticipated 2025 National Skills Contest at their Nabua showroom.

The event made its return after a six-year gap.

The contest united exceptional finalists from Fiji, Samoa and American Samoa, celebrating the unparalleled skills of a diverse range of professionals including service technicians, panel technicians, service advisors, panel advisors, sales advisors, parts advisors and customer relations consultants.

Chief executive officer and director Ronald Kumar said the event showcased not only technical prowess but also creativity, problem-solving capabilities and the essence of teamwork.

“This contest exemplifies our unwavering commitment to nurturing talent and empowering our people,” Mr Kumar said.

“It reinforces our dedication to providing world-class experiences in every customer interaction, emphasising innovation, sustainability, and continuous talent development.”

Following a day filled with fierce competition and exceptional displays of skill, the winners were celebrated across multiple categories:

-Service Technician: Krishneel Mogam

-Paint: Mohammed Shane Iliayaz

– Body: Faiyaz Khan

– Service Advisor: Finau Matavesi

– Parts Advisor: Anish Chand

– Sales: Nitesh Prasad

-Customer Relationship Management: Leba Sigalima
