The 2025 Vodafone RatuSukuna Bowl has delivered a timely economic boost for Labasa, says Labasa Chamber of Commerce president Vinesh Dayal.
Dayal said the influx of visitors for the annual Police–Army sporting clash had created a real lift for businesses across the town.
“Our hotels, restaurants, transport providers and small businesses have all benefited from the increased visitors and activity in town,” he said.
He said the Chamber had been a strong advocate for bringing the event to the North, a move which had now shown its value on the ground.
“The Chamber was also instrumental in advocating to bring this tournament to the North, and we’re proud that two of executives financed the entire group’s dinner for two nights.
“It shows the spirit of partnership and community in Labasa, and we’re proud to have played our part in making this historic event happen.”
The Sukuna Bowl which was held at Subrail Park on last Friday drew thousands of supporters and visitors into Labasa town.
