Visitor arrivals dip slightly in October 2025

Fiji recorded 88,255 visitor arrivals in October 2025, a slight drop of 1.3% compared to the same month last year, according to figures released by the Fiji Bureau of Statistics.

The latest numbers also represent a 4.4% decrease from September 2025, which saw 92,344 arrivals.

Of the total visitors in October 2025, a large majority—87,013—entered Fiji by air. A further 1,242 arrivals came by sea, most of whom were seamen on fishing vessels (1,007), with 235 arriving by yacht.

Holidaymakers continued to dominate the sector, making up 78.6% of all arrivals. Another 7.9% visited friends or relatives, 2.6% arrived for business, while 10.9% travelled for other reasons.

Australia remained Fiji’s strongest tourism source market, contributing 41,288 visitors (46.8%), followed by New Zealand with 20,323 (23.0%). The United States accounted for 9,375 (10.6%), while Continental Europe (3,021), China (2,392), Canada (1,713) and the United Kingdom (1,095) made up smaller but steady shares of the market.
