Bank of South Pacific (BSP) has announced two executive appointments and another at senior manager level within its retail banking division.
Ravindra Singh was appointed head of Retail, Pacific Markets – an advancement that expands his leadership scope to group-level operations across the Pacific region.
Kamini Mani succeeds him as general manager Retail, an appointment described as a milestone for women in leadership at BSP, and raises female representation in the bank’s executive leadership team to 50 per cent.
Viliame Varasikete succeeds Ms Mani as head of Branch Network – Fiji, recognising his extensive experience and long-standing leadership within the bank’s retail operations.
Ravindra Singh
Mr Singh has more than 36 years of experience in retail banking leadership and human resources, and has been instrumental in driving the bank’s retail growth through his people-first approach and results driven focus.
“Our Pacific markets hold tremendous potential, supported by strong teams and loyal customers. I look forward to expanding collaboration across the seven Pacific nations we serve to deliver a consistent customer experience, wherever they choose to bank with us,” Mr Singh said.
BSP Group general manager Pacific Markets Paul Black said: “Ravindra has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, market insight and a people-first approach. He continues to add value and strengthen our Pacific retail operations.”
Mr Singh holds a Master in Management from Australia’s University of Sunshine Coast (UniSC). He also completed a three-year Senior Group Leadership Management Development Program at INSEAD, France – a globally prestigious Business School for the World.
Kamini Mani
Ms Mani has 39 years of banking experience from graduate trainee to lending office, branch manager, area manager, head of sales and service, head of branch network to deputy general manager Retail.
She brings extensive retail operational expertise, strong customer focus and proven leadership capability.
“BSP’s strength lies in our people and the trust we’ve earned from our customers over the years. My focus will be service excellence in this time of digital innovation and empowering our teams to deliver the very best for our customers and communities,” Ms Mani said.
BSP Country Head – Fiji Haroon Ali said Ms Mani has been an integral part of the bank’s leadership team.
Ms Mani holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Economics from the University of the South Pacific.
Viliame Varasikete
Mr Varasikete has more than 40 years of service, having held a range of leadership roles across Fiji.
He begun as a branch manager in Taveuni before going on to lead branches in Savusavu, Nadi, Suva Market, Suva Central and Pacific House.
Mr Ali congratulated Mr Varasikete on his appointment, acknowledging his leadership experience across the bank’s vast branch network, coupled with his deep understanding of customer needs made him well suited to the role.
The bank congratulated the three new appointees saying it showcased Fiji’s leadership talent and the bank’s commitment to staff development across PNG and the Pacific markets.
