U14 coach Rupeni Ratunivatulele said the team’s progress reflects commitment and hard work.

“This is just the third year for the school to participate in the kaji rugby competition and we are so thankful and blessed for these young U14 boys to reach semi-final level.

“This school never participates in kaji rugby but in our first year of participation few of us I-taukei parents got together and decided to form our teams,” he said.

“Last Saturday we hosted them dinner and we also farewell few of our boys who will be leaving and joining high school.”

Ratunivatulele also acknowledged the support of the Stonewriters group, who donated rugby kits to the team .

“We are so grateful for Stonewriters for their kind donation.”

Three players from the U14 grade have been selected for the Lautoka Kaji Rugby team, marking another milestone for the school.
