THE Port of Lautoka has been nominated for Oceania’s Best Cruise Terminal 2025 for the second consecutive year.

Last year, the Sugar City port of entry was officially announced the Oceania’s Best Cruise terminal, beating some of the more renowned ports in the South Pacific.

Lautoka emerged as the winner after showcasing its commitment to delivering exceptional experience to cruise passengers and cruise vessels.

Votes were cast by cruise industry professionals as well as the general public.

This year, Port of Lautoka has been nominated alongside Port of Newcastle and Sydney Harbour in Australia and Port of Auckland, New Zealand.

The Port of Suva won the Best Cruise Terminal for three years between 2021and 2023 while the Port of Lautoka won last year’s award in December 2024.

The Awards is the sister event to the world travel Awards, which was launched in 1994 to celebrate excellence in global travel and tourism.

The Oceania region is eligible for four categories. They are: Oceania’s Best Cruise Destination 2025; Oceania’s Best Cruise Terminal 2025; Oceania’s Best Cruise Line 2025 and Oceania’s Best Cruise Travel Agency 2025.

“From stunning ocean views to the warm Bula spirit that greets every visitor, Port of Lautoka proudly represents the heart of Fiji’s western coast — where journeys begin and unforgettable memories are made. Let’s show the world what makes Lautoka truly special,” the Fiji Ports Corporation Limited noted on its Facebook page.
