IRISH 7s star Harry McNulty returns to the 2026 McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s joining the McDonald’s Mike Friday Select side.
McNulty along with Olympians Semi Kunatani and Jerry Tuwai are some of the big names confirmed for the star-studded invitational team that will be serious contenders for the coveted i-Wau Trophy at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
McNulty played a pivotal role for the 2025 Mike Friday Select side, helping steer the team to an outstanding runner-up finish at last year’s tournament.
Kunatani on the other hand will undoubtedly bring his trademark power, offloading brilliance, and unstoppable work rate- traits that aren’t new at Lawaqa Park where he has delivered countless unforgettable performances.
Coral Coast 7s founding chairman Jay Whyte welcomed the announcement of McNulty and Kuntani.
“His return not only strengthens the squad but also reinforces what the Coral Coast 7s represents—international brotherhood, high-performance competition, and the world of sevens uniting as one. We are thrilled to have him back on Fijian soil.
“Semi Kunatani is a once-in-a-generation talent and a true icon of the game. To have him return to the Coral Coast 7s—representing his province, his people, and the global sevens family—is incredibly special. Pairing him with Jerry and Harry gives the Mike Friday Select a world-class presence both on and off the field.”
Head Coach Mike Friday echoed similar sentiments.
“Semi is an absolute force in sevens rugby. His power, athleticism, and passion lift everyone around him.
“He plays with a ferocity that inspires teammates and terrifies opponents.
“Bringing him into this group sets the tone for the type of rugby we intend to play in 2026.”
