The 2025 Sugar Festival drew residents to Churchill Park’s carnival grounds for the final day of the annual festival.

Festival committee president Hem Raj said despite receiving very little support from the business community, the festival turned out to be a success.

“We got a lot of small businesses wanting to be part of the festival and we are very grateful for their support,” Mr Raj said.

“This year, we had a lot of different entertainment rides which I believe a lot of residents and especially their children appreciated.

“We hope that come next year we will have a bigger space to work with and more support from our stakeholders to be able to put together an enjoyable and uniting carnival for the people of Lautoka.”
