Fiji Airways scooped the Best Cabin Service and Best Food and Beverage in the South Pacific awards at the 2026 APEX Best in Airline Awards.
The Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) – one of the world’s leading airline rating organisations – announced the winners during the APEX FTE Asia EXPO held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore early this week.
The awards are based on over one million verified passenger votes collected independently via TripIt by Concur travel-organising app.
“Receiving these awards is a proud moment for everyone at Fiji Airways,” Fiji Airways managing director and chief executive officer Paul Scurrah said.
“The awards reinforce our position as a premium carrier in the region. Our continued investment in service quality, dining innovation and training ensures the warmth of Fiji shines through in every aspect of the journey.
“We are proud of this achievement, and we are just getting started.”
Airline chief customer officer Akuila Batiweti said their cabin crew and culinary teams worked tirelessly to deliver a uniquely Fijian experience at 35,000 feet.
“To be recognised by our guests themselves makes this achievement truly meaningful,” Mr Batiweti said in a statement from the airline.
The APEX Best in Airline Awards celebrate passenger experience excellence across more than 600 airlines globally, and recognises standout achievement in seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverage, entertainment and Wi-Fi.
According to the airline, the award recognition follows its recent achievement of being named an APEX World Class Airline for 2026, placing it among the top 10 airlines globally; and the smallest airline by fleet size ever to receive this distinction and the only carrier in Oceania to be recognised. It said the accolade positioned it among an elite group of global airlines celebrated worldwide for excellence in safety, sustainability, well-being and service.
